Folks: The status of the Juhlin Jamboree is in limbo as of this writing. Originally we had hoped to use St. Joseph’s in Metuchen. Negotiation on this venue has been problematic and difficult still without resolution. We then had Rutgers University Intramural complex on the board only to be bumped out because of a change in the schedule of their digging of a new drainage system. We then tried the RFL fields in Boonton Township only to be strung along for two more weeks before getting a negative response. Joe tried to get Randolph to bail us out, but too much rescheduling and problems have ruled them out. If we can get a facility, we will hold the Jamboree on either June 1st, 7th, or 8th. Be ready on a moments notice to register your team by e-mail and have two volunteers lined up. There will probably be only one team per program. We will probably charge one fee per program to cover parking and police. This has been a nightmare. Any last minute suggestions are welcome. If we don’t resolve by May 21st, all bets are off.
